Connecting the World, Advancing Law and Business Together: ICDPASO held a high-level meeting on supply chain compliance and dispute prevention and resolution

June 24, 2026 - During The 4th China International Supply Chain Expo (CISCE), The International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Organization (ICDPASO) successfully held the high-level conference on supply chain compliance and dispute prevention and settlement under the theme of Connecting the World, Advancing Law and Business Together: Building a New Ecosystem for International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement. Mr. REN Hongbin, Chairman of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), Mr. WANG Junfeng, President of the Belt and Road International Legal Services Association(BRILSA), Mr. Chandi Raj Dhakal, President of SAARC Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SAARC CCI) and Mr. Sundra Rajoo, President of the Asian Institute of Alternative Dispute Resolution (AIADR) delivered the speech. The opening ceremony was hosted by Mr. LIU Jiannan, Chairman of ICDPASO, Vice Chairman of the China Council for the CCPIT.

This high-level conference closely aligned with the core theme of CISCE, "Connecting the World for a Shared Future." The agenda was carefully designed to leverage the platform's unique advantages of neutrality and international reach, focusing on three major directions: supply chain compliance governance, dispute prevention and resolution, and international rule of law cooperation, the conference precisely responded to industry challenges such as cross-border commercial disputes resolution and supply chain risk prevention and control.

The session consisted of two panel discussions. Panel I, titled Interconnection and Mutual Learning: Establishing and Fostering a Cross-Legal-System Community for Dispute Prevention under Multicultural Contexts, was moderated by Mr. KUANG Guodong, Secretary-General of BRILSA. Speakers included Ms. LIU Yanhong, Vice President of China University of Political Science and Law; Mr. Quek Nghee Meng, Director of the Malaysia-China Business Council; Ms. ZHANG Shasha, Deputy Director of the Europe China Joint Innovation Center (EUCJIC); Mr. Hong LEE, Director for East Asia & Pacific of amfori; Ms. Barbara Diaz, Vice-Chair of the Bilateral Business Mexico-China Committee of the Mexican Business Council for Foreign Trade, Investment and Technology and Ms. JIAO Yani, Director of the Arbitration Research Institute of the China International Economic and Trade Arbitration Commission (CIETAC). Panel II, themed Law-Business Synergy: Reshaping the International Commercial Dispute Settlement Landscape and Innovating Collaborative Legal-Services District Ecosystems, was moderated by Mr. LI Shouping, Dean of the School of Law of Beijing Institute of Technology. Speakers included Ms. LI Wei, Senior Judge of the First Rank of the Fourth Civil Division of the Supreme People's Court; Mr. Chia Kim Haut, Chairman of the International Affairs Committee of the Singapore Chinese Chamber of Commerce and Industry (SCCCI); Ms. Heidi CHUI, Council Member of the Law Society of Hong Kong and Vice-Chairperson of Greater China Legal Affairs Committee; Mr. Paurush Kumar, Representative of the Bar Association of India; and Ms. HONG Huimin, Deputy Secretary-General of the China Maritime Arbitration Commission (CMAC) Northeast Asia International Arbitration Center.The closing remarks was delivered by Mr. Jason CHIA, Secretary-General of ICDPASO.

The conference focused on delivering concrete outcomes and practical effectiveness, unveiling a total of seven core achievements: the official release of the Fair Trade Initiative for Global Business Entities, the launch of the International Commercial Dispute Prevention and Settlement Cooperation Mechanism for the Machinery Industry (Advanced Manufacturing), the launch of ICDPASO’s New Official Website, the signing of Memorandum of Cooperation between ICDPASO and BRILSA, the signing of Cooperation Agreement between ICDPASO and Zhongnan University of Economics and Law, the signing of Cooperation Agreement between ICDPASO and Southwest University of Political Science and Law, and the signing of Memorandum of Cooperation between ICDPASO and Beijing Association for Alternative Dispute Resolution. This all-round success fully highlights the event's professional value and the platform's effectiveness. 

This conference was held by ICDPASO and BRILSA, supported by ICDPASO member units, CCPIT Machinery Sub-Council and Dongcheng District Lawyers Association. Chance Bridge Law Firm and Zhonglun W&D Law Firm served as the cooperating entities. The event attracted over 200 individuals from relevant departments, domestic and foreign law firms, enterprises, universities, business associations, and financial institutions.

As the world’s first national-level expo focusing on supply chain cooperation, CISCE has been successfully held for three sessions and has become a globally shared international public good. This session of CISCE has brought together over 676 domestic and foreign key enterprises along the supply chain, specialized and sophisticated SMEs, and industry organizations from 85 countries, regions, and international organizations. Counting upstream and downstream partners, the actual number of exhibitors has exceeded 1,200, further driving the deep integration and collaborative development of global industrial chains.

During the exhibition, ICDPASO has a commercial legal service consultation booth at Hall W2-B09 to deliver legal advisory services covering international trade, foreign-related dispute handling, and other areas to exhibitors, purchasers, and visiting groups.
